And then there was death
You and me
Together we
Used to play 'till dusk from dawn.
Your beautiful smile
Made me glad for awhile
But now you're forever gone.
You've gone away
No longer to stay
And now I must say goodbye.
For now you rest
In Heaven's best
Beyond the starry sky.
Beyond the moon
You went that June
Beyond the planets too.
Past every star
Is where you are
Beyond my reach are you.
But could God truly
Forgive something so unruly
Something so evil and vile?
To forgive what I said
Before you were dead
That made your tears flow like the Nile?
I remember the day
When I did say
Those horrible words to you.
"I wish you were dead,"
Yes,

Taint of Darkness - Chapter 1
Chapter 1: Fire & Ice
Cynthia cowered in the small crevice, waiting for the Thing to strike. She shivered as its long, forked tongue flickered out at her and advanced. Looking this way and that, she tried to find a point of escape. No such luck. The Thing started closing in. Suddenly, a shrill cry echoed through the cave.
"Kajiki! Keno mo ku denmaji?"
With the strange words, an odd-looking old lady appeared around the corner of the cave's narrow path. The lamp-light she held illuminated part of the cave. The Thing spotted the lady and started toward her, and for a moment Cyn thought it would attack her. But instead, it started to rub up ag

Taint of Darkness - Prologue
Prologue: Blood-Stained Night
I flew through a window, and landed on the corner of something, HARD. My back to my landing spot, I couldn't see what it was, but it started to feel like it was burning my back. Through my blood stained vision, I saw my attacker jump through the broken window.
She swore loudly and yelled, "Stop playing stupid! You know what I'm talking about! Now answer the question!"
Through the pain, I couldn't speak, but managed to let out a low, pained moan. At this, the girl growled and began to advance, but stopped a few feet away and looked at something above and behind me.
Now I noticed something odd about her eyes, t

Choices and Voices
The other day I looked into the mirror
And thought of all the time that had flown by
At first I began to tear up
And then I started to cry
All the chances I have missed
My true love I never kissed
Well you know
I guess the good times never last
We aren't exactly sixth-dimensional
And we cannot change the past
So follow your heart
Wherever it leads you
Because your heart
Cannot deceive you
It's not for me
It's all for your sake
So follow your heart
So you'll prevent heartbreak
So if you're ever given a choice
Won't you please remember my voice
Because if there is a chance
The future may be in your hands
So hold on tight

Poem 'bout nature 'n' stuff
[From 2011, an old short poem about nature stuff.]
Hearken to the sound, the forest’s song.
The notes are short, yet echo long.
Smell the blue sea, the salty brine.
This soothing odor so divine.
Feel the breeze as it soothes your soul.
The wind about these hills does roll.
Taste in the air the warmth of the sun.
When winter comes, it is undone.
